Makeup Trends

This year we have a great variety of subtle and bold makeup looks to try. Whether you are going all out for a glamorous makeup look or after a simple vibe, you will find something in the current makeup trends that works for you.

Natural makeup trend

A barely-there, no makeup look will never fall out of fashion. It continues to be one of the beauty trends this year. A perfect natural “no makeup” face works under all circumstances, and flatters everyone. It is a great makeup look to create instant effortless beauty.

Dewy skin makeup trend

Strobing technique makeup to achieve glowing beautiful skin

While there was a bit of contouring on the runways this season, strobing is still the main choice in current makeup trends. To create a fresh look, I opted for a dewy finish on the skin instead of shimmery highlights. This glowing dewy makeup look is so laid-back glam and works for most occasions.

Pink Eye Shadow

Pink is the ultimate shade if you are going for a romantic makeup look. You can keep the tones of your eyes, lips and cheeks within the same colour scheme to create a soft, feminine finish that works for both day and night. I used pink MAC pot to give the model a soft wash of colour.

Glitter Makeup

Glitter makeup is fun and vibrant and is a great way to increase your glam factor. Pigmented glitter comes in various shades and can be applied from the lash line all the way up. I used a bit of glitter to the lower lash line to create a striking finish.

Metallic Eye Makeup Trend

A traditional smoky eye is the go-to makeup look when you want your eyes to be emphasised. However, the metallics will accentuate your eyes and can be worn as bold or subtle as you like.
Go high-impact with a pigmented metallic eyeshadow swept across the entire lid or keep it more natural with an eye-opening dash of soft shimmer.

Classic Eyeliner with Modern Twist

This retro makeup look is back, but with a modern twist. Think thick yet sharp winged liquid eyeliner and nail it with lasting gel eyeliner. Complete this makeup look with a deep berry lip colour for a classic yet utterly gorgeous all-time favourite makeup look.
