A professional hair & make-up artist is a must to create a perfect look on your wedding day! Natalie made a stunning bride for her beautiful wedding day on Waiheke Island in New Zealand. She had her bridal makeup and hair trial a month before her wedding day and opted for a hairstyle with cascading curls ensuring she looked great with and without her veil. Having long hair certainly has its advantages and your options for bridal hair styles increase with a few extra inches of hair. Choosing your wedding hair style, opt for something that you know will suit you. That way you will feel more comfortable and relaxed on your wedding day. For a beach or seaside wedding, pinning sections of your hair back will keep the hair off your face and is a great option for a windy day. If you’re looking to wear a veil, consider a half up bridal hairstyle so your veil has a firm foundation to rest in and won’t fall out. If you are a bride who feels most comfortable with your hair down and loosely curled, then go for it!
Getting married is a very special event in your life – so it deserves some rather special make-up. For Natalie’s eye makeup we opted for a soft smokey eye using brown and bronze tones to suit her skin complexion. If you’re getting your make-up done professionally on your wedding day, be sure to have a bridal trial beforehand. “Smokey eyes” is quite a general term to make-up artists and can mean anything from a lightly blended shadow to full-on dark black lids. Bring a few make-up pictures of smokey eyes you like, so you can explain exactly what you’re looking for. Natalie has very beautiful face features. Her defined eyebrows frame the face and bring attention to her eyes which I finished off with dark liner and mascara.
